New Scanner Information
The new scanners are being deployed to all offices by the end of September 2015. The ability for the scanners to send and receive text messages has just been enabled. This means that your manager could text you instructions or questions. Weingarten Rights are your right to Union representation at anytime you believe questions by management might lead to discipline. You have to ask for a Union representative – management does not have to offer one. [more]
CCA Health Insurance Information
City Carrier Assistants, CCA, are entitled to health benefits. As a CCA you can sign up for the non-career plan provided by United Health Care. The Postal Service will pay $125 a pay period towards the premium. YOU MUST SIGN UP WITHIN 60 DAYS OF BEING HIRED. You will sign up thru www.liteblue.gov for the health benefits. Pay Issues - We are being informed about more pay issues than ever before. The issues range from new CCAs that aren’t paid because management failed to enter their hours from form 1260, COP not being paid to an injured employee, and management giving a letter carrier LWOP when they requested annual or sick leave on Form PS 3971.......[more]

National Election Raffle
Branch 1100 is holding a raffle for the National Election of our Union Officers. You will be receiving a ballot in the mail in mid September. Once you vote, place your ballot in the envelope and seal it. Show your sealed envelope to the shop steward in your station to get put into the raffle. If there is not a shop steward in your office, please call the Branch office to let us know you voted and you will be put in the raffle.
1st Place will receive $1000.00
2nd Place will receive $500.00
Shop Stewards in the winning office will receive $250. If multiple stewards in a office they will split the $250.00
